An Action Hero 1st Friday (Day 1) and Bhediya 2nd Friday (Day 8) Box Office Collection, Both Poor

An Action Hero had a horrific first day (Friday) at the box office. The film collected 1.3 crore nett approx on day 1 and business is very low and poor. The film reported 9-10% occupancy for Friday which is extremely low. In fact, evening and night shows save some pride, otherwise, first-day occupancy would have been in the 5-6% range.

An Action Hero is an absolute non-starter as many shows got cancelled. It will now need miraculous growth on Saturday to have any chance of survival. A usual 30-40% growth will simply be not enough. Even a 50-60% jump is of no use. A 70-80% growth will give the film hope but again that looks highly unlikely.

Bhediya started the 2nd Friday (day 8) on a very poor note. The film has collected 2 crore nett approx on day 8. The drop from 1st Thursday is 25-30% which is ok. But again 1st Thursday collections were quite low. Hence, even a 25-30% drop looks big.

Bhediya's total business at the end of day 8 stands at 43.35 crore nett approx. A decent hold on the 2nd Friday ensured that the film will at least go past the 50 crore nett mark. The film should go close to or touch the half-century mark by the end of the second weekend. The lifetime business of the film is trending towards the 58-60 crore nett mark.
