Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness is the big release of this week as the film is released on 3000 screens across India. The good news is that film has managed to take a big start at the box office in the morning shows. With ticket prices being all time high expect a huge first day total now.
Doctor Strange has opened to 45-50% occupancy in the morning shows today. This is a very good start. The advances for the day are pretty good. This means the occupancy should increase further as the day progresses.
Hollywood biggies have made big inroads into the Indian market. The story remains the same for Doctor Strange also. Considering the start film has got a 20-25 crore nett opening is almost confirmed. The question is whether film can touch or go beyond 30 crore nett for the day or not. We will have a pretty clear picture by the end of the day.
As for the ground-level word of mouth it is too early to say. Critic's word of mouth is on the positive side but again that hardly matters in today's time. When Bollywood films are struggling to make an impact at the box office post-pandemic times, here comes another movie that is all set to create a storm at the ticket counters. Thought for the day!
