KANTARA: CHAPTER 1 BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 1 (THURSDAY)
Night Update (8 PM IST): Kantara is rocking at the box office as its first-day collection across all languages is set to zoom past the half-century net mark in India. Chances of touching ₹58 cr net are strong, and it may collect significantly more beyond that. A lot of data from various languages is still awaited. In Hindi, the film has done well, registering 35-36% occupancy till the last report. The film is expected to collect around ₹18 cr net approx on Day 1 in Hindi alone. This is a fantastic start to its box office campaign.
Noon Update (2:30 PM IST): Kantara is rocking at the box office as the film has registered 40-45% occupancy in the noon shows in the Hindi version. Overall occupancy for the day so far in Hindi is around 35%. The film is targeting a solid ₹20-22 cr net approx in the Hindi version alone for the day based on the trend till noon. The film is also doing pretty well in other languages, and we will keep you updated. Stay tuned!
Morning Update (11 AM IST): Kantara: Chapter 1 has taken a solid start in the Hindi version across India. The film has registered 25-30% occupancy in the morning shows. Based on the initial trend, it is targeting around ₹20 cr net for the day in Hindi alone. The all-language total will be huge as the film is performing strongly in other regional versions as well. I don’t understand why the Hindi circuit gives more shows to Kantara instead of Sunny Sanskaari. Will Karnataka cinema halls give more shows to a Hindi movie than to a Kannada movie?
