The film collected around ₹8.5 crore net approx, and with this, it is all set to emerge as a SMASH HIT! The two-day total stands at around ₹18.5 crore net approx, with the weekend still to come. Made on an extremely low budget, the film is set to be a highly profitable venture for all associated with it, even if it maintains just an average trend from here on.
Afternoon Update (2:30 PM IST): Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is showing an excellent hold on Day 2 so far. The film has reported 33-35% occupancy in the noon-afternoon shows, with overall occupancy for the day so far around 25-26%.
The trend so far suggests the film is targeting a fantastic ₹6-7 crore net for the day. That’s fabulous, as the film had an outstanding Day 1 — and the story remains the same on Day 2 as well.
