1. Taran Adarsh -
Rating Score -> 3.5/5
The #Housefull franchise returns with a bang – this time, it's bigger, louder, and crazier... A paisa-vasool entertainer with madness, a thrilling climax, and mass-moments galore.

2. Times Now -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Housefull 5 tries to bring back the madness of its earlier parts, but sadly, it never manages to match the fun. With a massive ensemble cast and lavish sets, it ends up being a chaotic disappointment, where the humour quotient even fails to impress.

3. Indian Express -
Rating Score -> 1/5
Akshay Kumar leads yet another loud, formulaic farce. Compared to the previous Housefulls, this one has a slightly fuller house, but because no one expects anything else, it’s pretty much like the older ones.

4. NDTV -
Rating Score -> 1.5/5
If only Housefull 5 wasn't so full of unalloyed bilge, it would not have come across as the kind of unbridled celebration of the ludicrous that it does. Let us make no bones: we did not sign up for this.

5. Hindustan Times -
Rating Score -> 3/5
Housefull 5 feels like being stuck on a cruise with a few comic veterans, and a funny script that forgot to board the ship. It floats, wobbles, but you are just waiting for it to dock. Watch it with your friends who like double meaning jokes. We all have one.

6. Rediff -
Rating Score -> 1/5
A ex-Housefull alumnus shows up at the fag end of its Priyadarshan-style chaos filled climax stating I don't care. Neither do I about this headache named Housefoosss.

7. India Today -
Rating Score -> 2/5
'Housefull 5' makes you truly believe in the lack of female gaze in mainstream cinema. If this is the class of our comedy, perhaps we would be better off not laughing at all.

8. India TV -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Housefull 5 starts with a good idea and makes the audience laugh a lot in the first half but loses its shine as it moves towards the interval. The excitement created in the first half about the murder mystery does not last till the end; the focus is lost, but the effective climax will not let your money go to waste.

9. First Post -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Housefull 5 isn’t a great film, but it is not bad either. But in an age when Bollywood is suffering from a huge bankruptcy of ideas, this film can be watched at least for once or you can wait for it to release on one of the digital platforms. There is a Housefull 5 (A) and Housefull 5 (B), the murders are different in both of them.

10. News 18 -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
If this is the standard of comedy we get from the Housefull franchise, then Nadiadwala has to step up and raise the bar in the next instalment. Overall, it is just a one-time watch for those who want to go to the theatres just to relax and unwind.

11. The Hindu -
Rating Score -> n/a
In a bid to cash in on the goodwill around the frat-boy comedy, writer-producer Sajid Nadiadwala, this time, lines his boisterous drollery with a layer of mystery in the vacation season.

12. DNA -
Rating Score -> 4/5
Akshay Kumar and gang exceeded expectations and delivered one of the funniest movies of recent times. Don't go by haters, Housefull 5 is a stressbuster, best enjoyed in a cinema hall. (Note: This review is of Housefull 5A)

13. Komal Nahta -
Rating Score -> n/a
Housefull 5 is an average entertainer. Among its plus points are the comedy, excellent dialogues, very good performances and the Laal paree song. As for the minus points, besides its inherent drawbacks, as mentioned above, it has two other negative points which have nothing to do with the content — its very high cost (approximately Rs. 225-250 crore) and its weak start today.
