Rating Score -> 3.5/5

Serpentine twists and turns. Nail-biting suspense and tension-filled moments that keep you on edge. A masterstroke finale… Director #SriramRaghavan delivers an out-of-the-box, absorbing tale that teases your mind, besides keeping you engaged and entertained. #MerryChristmasReview

2. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

there’s no point in watching a Sriram Raghavan movie without expecting sporadic flashbacks, film references, completely out-there characters, and an edge-of-the-seat experience. All of this is also applicable for Merry Christmas, but in a quieter and lighter fashion.

3. India Today -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

‘Merry Christmas’ is a terrific start to 2024 and a welcome break from the tailor-made cinema that feels repetitive. Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif’s pairing is the ace of spade that makes the film a sure-shot winner.

4. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 3/5

Terrific Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi deliver a solid start to the new year. Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi make for an unlikely pair, but they make it work, and she again proves that she can be an actor underneath all that pancake and bump-and-grind.

5. Hindustan Times -

Rating Score -> n/a

Watch this Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif-starrer to appreciate good cinema, brilliant writing and enjoy an engaging watch that keep you on the edge on your seat, but you won't really jump out of it on any big reveal or the climax. Yet, it's Sriram Raghavan's cinematic world, and is a must watch, even if for one time.

6. DNA India -

Rating Score -> 4/5

Vijay Sethupathi masterclass, Katrina's career-best act elevate riveting, near-perfect thriller. Merry Christmas is a well-crafted, if slightly imperfect film, made ever so watchable by its leads Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif.

7. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 4/5

Merry Christmas has a breathtaking climax that will have you sighing like you've never sighed in a Sriram Raghavan movie before

8. India TV -

Rating Score -> 3/5

Merry Christmas is slow in the first half and it takes time for the storyline to get aligned with the audience's attention. Things pick up just 2 minutes before the interval and the second half is good to go. If you are a murder mystery fan, then you might enjoy the slow build in the first half. However, when it comes to wholesome entertainment, one will surely find it a bit lengthy.

9. Times Now -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5

Murder mystery fans might enjoy the slow buildup, but most Bollywood viewers aren't that patient. Merry Christmas picks up speed in the last 20 minutes where there's plenty of nervous conflict and edginess to be resolved. Sriram Raghavan's film had the right take on the perfect crime, but does it exist?

10. Zee News -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

‘Merry Christmas’ deserves your time and attention. When it comes to messy families, there are no easy solutions. After all, Albert says with absolute conviction, “Sometimes violence is better than sacrifice.”

11. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a

Drawing from Hitchcock, watch Merry Christmas more for the anticipation of the crime than the crime itself.

12. NDTV -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

Katrina Kaif-Vijay Sethupathi Thriller Bewitches Even When It Baffles. Katrina Kaif conveys confusion and vulnerability cloaked in occasional flashes of steely determination. She is helped a great deal by the contrast that Vijay Sethupathi represents.

13. The Week -

Rating Score -> 3/5

Who would've ever thought that Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi would make for a charming pair and sizzle the screen with their absolutely riveting performance? Merry Christmas enthrals us by deftly exploiting the potential of the two actors and giving us a gripping noirish tale in which the journey is more exciting than the climax.
