2. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

With solid storytelling, impressive visuals, and strong performances, the film successfully merges elements of mythology with contemporary action, offering a unique viewing experience in Indian cinema.

3. India Today -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

Director Prashanth Varma earns some brownie points for skilfully weaving elements of mythology in a contemporary setting. Many filmmakers have lessons to learn from this young man on how to balance bhakti and entertainment. He also puts across a strong message that a superhero is not one with special power, but one who dares to stand up for the truth when he has nothing.

4. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 3/5

Teja Sajja film is the perfect family entertainer on Makar Sankranthi. Tejja Sajja and Prashanth Varma film takes a leaf from Indian mythology and effortlessly adds it to the superhero genre, delivering an engaging and entertaining film.

5. Hindustan Times -

Rating Score -> n/a

More than anything, HanuMan has a little bit of everything families look for in a Sankranthi fare. The film keeps you entertained for 2 hours 38 minutes and seems like something children would love. With the sequel, Jai Hanuman and Adhira starring Kalyan Dasari, it remains to be seen how Prasanth carries the momentum forward.

6. DNA India -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

HanuMan is a good stepping stone for Prasanth Varma, a filmmaker known for his experimental cinema, or at least a penchant for flirting with different genres. The film is the first instalment in a franchise and if it is successful, it will give the filmmaker more to play with in terms of scale and budgets. I, for one, can’t wait to see what he has in store for us after this.

7. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a

This homegrown superhero film is largely a fun ride. Director Prasanth Varma and actor Teja Sajja’s superhero film blends the familiar good versus evil superpower template with a touch of devotion, and tops it with entertaining masala segments

8. Gulte -

Rating Score -> 3/5

HanuMan successfully caters to its intended audience, engaging kids and families during the Sankranthi season. In Hindi, this is a perfect time considering the inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya on 22 January, 2024. All these factors are expected to work for HanuMan.

9. Times Now -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

What's truly impressive is that the movie maintains a consistent tone throughout. It acknowledges the superhero qualities of its characters, yet it always stays grounded and never forgets that it is based on liberal mythological elements.

10. Box Office Andhra -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5

The film HANU MAN works for most parts with technical excellence and many theatrical moments. The director's efforts and vision were remarkable, and though he faltered in handling a few parts of the movie, overall, he made an enjoyable outing.

11. 123 Telugu -

Rating Score -> 3.25/5

Hanu-Man is an engaging superhero film that is high on goosebumps-inducing moments. The last half an hour, ample number of high moments, and the humor are the biggest assets of the film. Despite a familiar storyline, Prasanth Varma manages to hold our attention for the most part. The way Lord Hanuman is elevated with terrific dialogues and background score will strike a chord with audiences.

12. Komal Nahta -

Rating Score -> n/a

On the whole, HanuMan is an entertainer and it will score very well at the box-office.
