Overall Word of Mouth (Critics) - Positive

1. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 4/5
Ghoomer is elevated by its performances but its soul lies in R. Balki, Rahul Sengupta and Rishi Virmani’s uplifting writing that makes you both teary-eyed and chuckle.

2. Hindustan Times -

Rating Score -> n/a
At 2 hours 20 minutes, Ghoomer is crisp and rarely appears sluggish. Amid other things, Balki also touches upon gender equality, discrimination in sports, importance of education and superstitious beliefs that often come into play.

3. Times Now -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Saiyami Kher, Abhishek Bachchan Film Is An Inspiring Journey Of Resilience And Triumph. The film may have come across as a half-baked story in the first few minutes. But all questions are eventually answered by every individual character themselves.

4. India Today -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
‘Ghoomer’ has all the right intentions. It is not a story of sympathy but empathy. It isn’t trying to be a sob fest about a woman losing her right arm, but a tale of revering strength to fight back. But, despite all its intentions, it can hardly scratch beyond the surface.

5. NDTV -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Saiyami Kher Is On A Firm Wicket, Pulling Off Physically Demanding Role. Abhishek Bachchan is a formidable presence as the grouchy mentor who nearly drives himself and his ward to the ground.

6. Outlook India -

Rating Score -> 4/5
Abhishek Bachchan’s Riveting Performance And Saiyami Kher’s Brillant Act Elevates R. Balki’s Cricket Film

7. India TV -

Rating Score -> 3/5
The film is a good watch but not without its flaws. Balki's love for cricket is widely known, starting from his first film 'Cheeni Kum' and with the help of sports director Dhruv P Panjuani, the sport feels and looks authentic apart from the fake crowd noise. Ultimately, the film is about hope and staying resolute because when life gives you lemons, make a lemonade and drink it up.

8. Taran Adarsh -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
#Ghoomer is a compelling sports-drama that hits the boundary… #RBalki thinks out of the box, #Ghoomer also takes you on a journey that’s heartwarming and inspiring. #GhoomerReview

9. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Saiyami Kher, Abhishek Bachchan go full tilt in this tale of damaged characters. Abhishek Bachchan reminds you in bits of his illustrious father (Amitabh Bachchan appears in a cameo here) especially when he is delivering a sozzled monologue, but remains a trope.

10. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a
Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher pitch it right in this uplifting sports drama. Director R Balki spins a heartwarming tale that celebrates gutsy people who are not defined by physical and emotional limitations in this cricket drama

11. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Ghoomer is an efficient crowd-pleaser that puts a lump in the throat, a tear in the eyes, and a smile on the face, all at the same time

12. News 18 -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Ghoomer sticks to familiar ground as far as a sports film goes, Amidst all the faux sentimentality, we still get a protagonist that we can’t help rooting for. That is the film’s real success.
