#Gadar2 is old-school desi entertainment at its best… #SunnyDeol returns to the big screen with a vengeance… He is as ferocious as ever… #Gadar2 will create #Gadar at the #BO… The patriotic flavour coupled with tremendous recall value will make it a huge money-spinner. #Gadar2Review

Gadar 2 has so many faults that it will take a long time to list them all. But the film uses sheer emotion and some smart packaging to plaster over them. It plays to the gallery by infusing some seetimaar dialogues. The number of whistleworthy moments in the film is quite high and one is bound to see videos of people dancing and cheering in the halls in the days to come.

3. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 1.5/5
Sunny Deol film offers nothing new. What we can confirm is that Sunny paaji can still snarl effectively, and that dhai-kilo-ka-haath has residual potency. We can also confirm the reappearance of a hand-pump.

4. Zoom TV -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
With dialogues and tagline such as ‘Hindustan zindabad tha, zindabad hai, zindabad rahega’, the audience is sure to feel goosebumps. We also are treated to Sunny and Ameesha dancing with Utkarsh to Main Nikla Gaddi Leke version 2.0 which takes the viewers back in time.

5. Komal Nahta -

Rating Score -> n/a
Gadar 2 is not just a film; it will be treated by the audience as an emotion and a celebration. It will prove to be a blockbuster. Its first week should see the film cross the Rs. 200-crore mark!!

6. Hindustan Times -

Rating Score -> n/a
Gadar 2 does falter in terms of story and its pace, though it brings back the mass entertainment and that can surely make it a paisa vasool watch.

7. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a
Sunny Deol is superb in this middling sequel. Sunny Deol as Tara Singh reprises the hand pump and ‘zindabad’ scenes but there is very little that is original and impactful in the new film

8. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
It’s not that Gadar 2 is badly made, it’s just full of characters that don’t have the depth to stir the desired emotion in you or hold your attention for too long. For Sunny Deol fans, the actor does bring back his star power and that quintessential roar that’s hard to miss in the film.

9. India Today -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
The film is a thoroughly entertaining Bollywood sequel that successfully taps into nostalgia and delivers a full-on masala entertainer. Sunny Deol's powerful performance and iconic character make the film a must-watch, despite some flaws in the overall narrative, says our review.

10. NDTV -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Gadar 2 is strictly for three categories of people: Sunny Deol fans, those that miss the unbridled excesses of Bollywood of yore, and those that believe that "hate thy neighbour" is an axiom worth cheering for in a movie theatre. The film has enough to please them all - and then some.

11. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Gadar 2 feels like it is still reveling in its blockbuster legacy rather than creating its own mark. However, the fact that the film isn't offensively bad is actually its redeemable quality. For the most part, though, it is just mediocre and forgettable.

12. The Week -

Rating Score -> 1/5
Gadar can be missed if the other films playing in theatres at the same time are worth your time.

13. Outlook India -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Sunny Deol’s High-Decibel Drama Serves Old Wine In A New Bottle

14. First Post -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Sunny Deol makes a roaring comeback as Tara Singh to deliver a big screen massy actioner. Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 is an action-spectacle, which needs to be watch on the big canvas
