Rating Score -> 3/5
Adipurush is a modernized version of Ramayana that majorly benefits from the performances of Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Devdatte Nage. The movie has a neat first half and a below-par second half. The background score and songs come in handy, and they make it up for the substandard VFX works.

2. Gulte -

Rating Score -> 2.75/5
Adipurush starts as a drama-driven classic tale, but that turns into a lengthy action fest towards the latter half. It might attract children and the family audience who might want to enjoy a Hindu mythological story with a modern presentation.

3. India Today -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Prabhas excels as Raghav but substandard VFX is a let-down. Om Raut's epic Hindu saga, Adipurush, opened after many delays and amid a lot of hype. While the film was deemed worth the wait, our review suggests that its overall quality was marred by subpar VFX

4. Great Andhra -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
"Adipurush" is a distorted retelling of the Ramayana that lacks emotion. While it provides some moments of theatrical experience and Prabhas fits well as Lord Ram, it does not succeed if you are seeking a devotional feel or an experience of a VFX-rich film.

5. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Cherry blossoms in Sri Lanka, Hanuman speaking Bombaiya, the mythical Sone Ki Lanka looking darkly Gothic, Raavan looking like a Bollywood dude... this is not modernisation. This is a travesty

6. Mirchi 9 -

Rating Score -> 2.75/5
Adipurush is a big screen spectacle that is not just repackaging visually but also sensibility-wise. It is a mass, modern version of the classic Ramayan tale. If one doesn’t mind the distortion of the original characters and some tacky VFX, try it, but don’t keep the epic characterisation in mind.

7. Telugu Cinema -

Rating Score -> 2.75/5
“Adipurush” is an attempt to present it as a super-hero film in order to appeal to the generation Z audience. While the first half of the film is interesting, the second half and VFX work are subpar.

8. Telugu 360 -

Rating Score -> 2.75/5
The Commercialized version of Ramayana is a mixed bag. The first 50% of the film is VERY GOOD, the next 30% is so-so and the climax 20% is average. For most of the parts, the visuals are better than expected. The songs and background score are Excellent. The lengthy run-time and shabby VFX work at times play the spoilsport. Overall, the needle stops somewhere between” One time watch” to ” Good Watch ”.

9. Addatoday -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Adipurush, with its stellar performances and visual grandeur, aims to be an epic cinematic experience. While it succeeds to a certain extent with its captivating first half, the film falters in the second half, suffering from pacing issues and average VFX.

#Adipurush: DISAPPOINTING. Rating: ⭐️½ #Adipurush is an EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT… Just doesn’t meet the mammoth expectations… Director #OmRaut had a dream cast and a massive budget on hand, but creates a HUGE MESS. #AdipurushReview

11. Komal Nahta -

Rating Score -> n/a
Adipurush has poor merits, but its business will be far better because of the Hindutva wind blowing in the country, the scale of the mythological drama, and the initial craze which has been generated. It will not get the praises. Children will like the film.

12. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 3.0/5
Adipurush is a sincere attempt that gets a tad overwhelmed by its ambition of handling a story of this magnitude. Ramayana rides high on action over ethos in this super-heroic reboot

13. NDTV -

Rating Score -> 1.5/5
Part Planet Of The Apes, Part King Kong. Saif Ali Khan towers over everybody else in Adipurush and in a very physical sense at that. Prabhas has strong screen presence but it appears to be wasted on an undeserving film.

14. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 1.5/5
Prabhas-starrer reduces Ramayan to two-dimensional barrage of little feeling. This version of the Ramayan is not interested in connecting with the feeling of genuine religiosity that any reading of the ‘granth’ arouses, whether it is the most popular Tulsidas version or the Valmiki version.

15. DNA -

Rating Score -> 1.5/5
Adipurush could have been the film the Indian film industry needed and looked up to – an example of how to make a modern epic based on the rich cultural treasure trove of stories our country has. In the end, it becomes a barely-watchable mess because the makers failed to understand that you don’t need grandeur to tell a simple tale like Ramayana. You need to undertsand the core emotions, which Adipurush does not.

16. Zee News -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Filmmaker Om Raut has made a huge attempt to re-telling the epic narrative in his own style with modern elements added to the screenplay. But why an overdose of Game Of Thrones (GOT) influence? Right from visuals of bats flying (replacing the dragons), darkness all around to background music. Then there's a concoction of characters looking straight out from Planet Of Apes and King Kong  - this could be much better and more innovative.

17. India TV -

Rating Score -> n/a
Prabhas and Kriti Sanon's mythological drama fails to live up to the expectations. Adipurush is released in cinema halls but failed to live up to the expectations. Exaggerated use of VFX and inappropriate dialogues make it disappointing.
