The biggest news of the day has arrived. Ayan Mukerji is all set to direct WAR 2 starring Hrithik Roshan. WAR 2 will be the 7th installment of YRF Spy Universe and will follow the events of TIGER 3.
Other details on WAR 2 are awaited at this moment. But there is a big possibility of Salman Khan and/or Shah Rukh Khan having an appearance in the film as it belongs to the Spy Universe.
Ek Tha Tiger (2012) started the Spy Universe, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), WAR (2019), and Pathaan (2023). Tiger 3 will be the fifth installment and is all set to release on Diwali 2023. Tiger Vs Pathaan is already confirmed and so is WAR 2. Spy Universe is getting bigger with each passing day and all those upcoming installments are certain to take a record-smashing start at the box office.

I have a hunch that Siddharth Anand will direct Krrish4 after Fighter. He has a strong bond with HR and after War & Pathaan he has the pedigree to bring something fresh to the Krrish franchise. It's the only successful superhero franchise in India. Would be a shame to not take it further in this day and age of next level vfx and Indian movies getting more and more prominent worldwide, thus letting budgets go higher. (Surely Viacom will also want Sid Anand to direct a sequel to Fighter if that films does very well.)
