Pathaan has taken a bumper start at the box office India on Wednesday (first day) as early samples for morning shows are coming in. The film is riding on a huge craze and historic advances and there is no doubt a humongous day is on cards now.
Pathaan has taken an opening of 45% occupancy in the morning shows today. Samples are from multiplexes only and there is no doubt that when single screens open it will be even better. A 45% opening is massive considering the film is released on record-smashing 5200 screens and showcasing is even bigger considering shows have started as early as 6-7 am.
With such an opening in the morning shows it is almost guaranteed that a 35-40 crore nett opening is the bare minimum mark. In fact, the trend suggests Pathaan should touch and go beyond the 40 cr NBOC mark. Whether it can challenge 45-50 crore nett or even more that will be known once we have a good pool of data available.
Whatever happens from here on a big opening is confirmed. How much? We will have a clear picture in a few hours time.
