Vikram Vedha is showing low occupancy on Thursday (Day 7) as early trends are coming in. As the holiday period is over a dull day at the box office is on expected lines. The film underperformed so far, and hence, there is a need to hold well on day 7. However, that is not the case as the film showed a normal trend.

Vikram Vedha's occupancy details for day 7 are given below. The film started very slowly in the morning shows and reported low occupancy for the noon shows also. The film then showed limited growth from evening onwards and as per the latest showing occupancy of 14-15% approx.

Vikram Vedha Thursday Occupancy Report (Samples only) -

Morning - 6-8%

Noon - 7-9%

Evening & Night - 14-15%

The early trend suggests Vikram Vedha Seventh Day Box Office Collection is heading towards the 3.25-3.5 crore nett range. These are early estimates from the limited samples and the final count for the day may vary.

Thus, the film's first week total is heading towards the 59-59.5 crore nett range. Ideally, the film needed to collect 70-75 crore nett in the first week and it means the film will remain short of a par score by around 10-15 crores approx.

  4. This boxoffice reminds me of Lakshya. I haven't watched VV but everyone around me was saying Lakshya was brilliant. Masses rejected it. When I saw it I could see why. Lot of brilliance in the movie, but as a whole didn't come together for me. Was slow and prodding at times, even the action was too long and not enthralling at times.

Of course, Lakshya for its time opened very big as it was HR's first movie after Koi Mil Gaya's blockbuster success.

  5. Semi HIT status to nahi but Above Average Status aa jaayega..90 Crores is a Very Good result after pandemic..Most of the big budget movies like Laal Singh Chaddha are wrapping up under 60 Crores..This movie will cross 60 crores in 7 days flat..Very good performance

    3. 175cr budget collection around 80cr simi hit.So why ek villain 2 is flop budget 75cr collet 45cr

    4. Ek Villain 2 isn't flop. It's breakeven was 50 Cr. So the movie was below average in the worst case.

VV will be below average at 90 Cr. 100-130 Cr is average to semi hit range. Clean hit above 130 Cr.

    5. These verdicts are based on DP, which is the relevant number for theatrical business. 25 Cr for EVR and 60 Cr for VV.

Producers hardly face losses unless it's a Prithviraj or LSC so the landing cost isn't the right number to look at.

  10. Tamil version had budget of 11cr. This one has 175cr. That itself is a joke. Not only over-spending was an issue, but that all of that money doubled-down on the gritty tone of the movie. You can make a more family friendly action film on a lower budget with some music and dance, compromise on the dark-action within reason (Ghajni was accepted by families) and add some color to a grimy picture. They could have had double the gross with half the budget with same stars. Instead of 50cr upfront for HR, part upfront and part based on profits, like SRK does (many time he co-produces) is far healthier. That way the actor is invested in the promotions of the film. HR is not good at that. SRK delivers on the opening weekend, no matter what the final outcome.
