Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 (PS-1) is doing historic business in Tamil Nadu and re-writing the record books. But the film is also trending well in the Hindi version and may emerge as a HIT in the coming days. The film is closing in 20 crore nett mark and should touch or even go past the 25 crore nett mark also.
PS 1 added 3.75 crore nett approx from Hindi in the second weekend. Thus, the film's total business currently stands at 18 crore nett approx. The film will touch 20 crore nett inside the third weekend now which is a pretty good total considering it had literally no face value in the Hindi belt.
If the film sustains well in the third weekend and then it has a good probability of touching 25 crore nett in India and may even go beyond that mark.
