Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 (PS-1) had a historic business in the first week at the Indian Box Office. The film simply rocked everywhere and most specifically in Tamil Nadu. The film has touched 100 cr NBOC in Tamil Nadu itself and that also in seven days flat. Outstanding stuff!
PS - 1 collected an approx 14.3 crore nett from the Hindi version in the first week. Any business in Hindi is a bonus and here the film has managed a substantial one and there is a second week to follow. Don't be surprised if the film easily goes past the 20 crore nett mark and may also touch 25 crore nett in its theatrical run.
Now coming to business in Tamil Nadu, the film has collected 100.65 crore nett approx in the first week there. This is simply historic! As the film is trending excellently, don't be surprised if it does well in the second week also. PS-1 total business from all languages is 161.25 crore nett approx and the film will easily go past the 200 crore nett mark in the coming days. A 250 cr NBOC is also a possibility but again a lot depends on how the film performs in the second weekend.

A movie like PS1 collected 100cr. in its 1st week itself only in ONE state in India. VV on the other side MIGHT collect in total in complete India 100cr...what a shame haha..HR my foot
