Raksha Bandhan had a massive drop on Tuesday (6th day) at the box office. With this, the film is now certain to emerge as a big flop at the box office. This is extremely sad and depressing news, as there is a lot of expectation from Raksha Bandhan prior to its theatrical release.
Raksha Bandhan collected a mere 1.75 crore nett approx on day 6. The drop from Friday is around 70-75% which is huge. Film's total business currently stands at 36.2 crore nett approx. The epic fall on Tuesday has ensured that the film will do good if it touches the 50 crore nett mark from here on. Forget about 100 crore nett or anything close to that now.
Raksha Bandhan's lifetime business is trending towards 47-48 crore nett approx. The film will emerge as one of the biggest flops in recent years. It will entitle heavy losses to all associated with it. Yes, there will be decent recovery from digital and satellite rights but again despite those recoveries losses are inevitable.
