Bachchhan Paandey has taken a slow start on Day 5 (Tuesday) as the previous day. The film did poorly on Day 4 and the story looks the same for Day 5 also.
A slow start is definitely not a problem. The concern is that film failed to show the necessary jump in evening and night shows on Monday. Weekdays tend to see low occupancy in Morning and Noon shows but it is the Evening and Night shows which recover the grounds. That is not happening in the case of Bachchan Pandey.
Bachchhan Paandey has collected 41.5 crore nett approx in the first four days. Film first week collection is trending towards a poor 50-51 crore nett range if the film follows the usual weekday trend. It means the film will struggle to touch or go past 65-70 crore nett business in its theatrical run in India. Ideally, that should have been weekend business or 4 or 5 days of business at the max. No doubt BP box office collection is absolutely shocking to say the least.
