83 is performing just decent at the Indian Box Office on the first two days. The film is doing well in multiplexes and that also in metros and another 5-6 big cities. In the rest of India business is just average.
The main problem is collections are not at all bad considering it is a Ranveer Singh's starrer film. The problem is film is carrying massive budget and hence needed much better collections. Still, all is not over and film can make a comeback. But now all depends on the 1st Sunday and then on the 1st Monday hold.
83 has collected 16 crore net approx from all languages on the 2nd day that is on Saturday. Ideally, the film needed to be around 20 crore net range on day 2 if not more. First-day business is also strictly decent. It is not bad but also not good.
83 two-day total now stands at 28.6 crore net and the first-weekend collection will be under 45 crore net unless the film shows growth on Sunday. Honestly, the first-weekend collection should have been in the 55-60 crore net range. A 50 crore net plus was a must. The film is far away from that score now.

Even achieving 83 Crores is now a distant dream. BollyJokers now seriously need to realise that there is a perceptible anger against their fraternity post SSR & drugs case. To blame it all on Corona won’t work since South Indian movies & Hollywood movies are performing extremely well. When even a movie like Shang Xi does more than Antim then it should be an eye opener for Bollywood. But as usual, these BollyJokers will continue to ignore the writing on the wall.
