83 is performing well in metros and a few other big cities. In fact business in premium multiplexes in metros is pretty good. In the rest of India business is average to decent. The film is doing well in multiplexes whereas business in single screens is average to decent.

Occupancy Report for Friday (Samples only) -

Morning - 20%

Noon - 30%

Night - 45-50%

The early trend suggests the film's opening day collection is all set to touch the 15 crore net mark. In fact, it is right now heading towards the 16-17 (+/-) crore net range. These are pretty good numbers to start the box office campaign in India.

Kindly note that these are early estimates. A large pool of data is awaited from interiors. Also, a lot of shows are still left for the day. Hence the final count for the day will be higher or lower depending on these factors mentioned above.

  2. Budget of 83 is 200 crore. It will be impossible for this movie to collect even close to 200 crore.Maximum it will collect 140 -150 crore in best case scenery.so this movie will be flop at the boxoffice.
