Tenet Worldwide Box Office nears $150 Million, Detailed Report

Tenet is the first major worldwide release and the film has performed decently considering a large portion of the exhibition sector is still closed. The film did decent business in both domestic (U.S. and Canada) and the China markets, which are the two major global markets.

Tenet has honestly kick-started the exhibition market worldwide which was earlier closed because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The film has collected around $20.2 million from the domestic market. The daily breakdown is not known yet. Still, 32%  of the exhibition sector is closed in Northern America. The worldwide weekend total is around $78.3 million from 46 worldwide markets and around 53k screens. 


Tenet has done a $126 million business from the international market so far. China box office leads the business side by collecting $30 million in the opening weekend. Business from the UK is around $13.1 million.

Total worldwide total to date for Tenet stands at $146.2 million. The numbers are ok and not that bad considering the current scenario. There is a strong possibility that Tenet might do decent to good business in the coming weeks. We are keeping a close watch on Tenet, as it is showing the way for others to follow the theatrical route across the globe.
