Looking Forward to Celebrating Blockbusters 'Sooryavanshi' and '83' in Cinemas

After the official statements of Reliance Entertainment and Shibasish Sarkar the CEO of Reliance Entertainment, it is more or less clear that much anticipated Sooryavanshi and 83 is on track to be released in theaters. They are hoping that the ongoing theatrical exhibition situation will improve much in time for the release of their two most awaited films, Sooryavanshi and 83, this Diwali and Christmas, respectively.

This piece of news has come as a respite for all movie lovers who want to watch their favorite star film first-day first show in theaters only. Now we just hope that there is some update on the opening of cinema halls in India soon.

Here is the official statement of Reliance Entertainment:

We are very confident that the ongoing theatrical exhibition situation will improve much in time for the release of our awaited films, Sooryavanshi and 83, this Diwali and Christmas, respectively. Looking forward to celebrating the blockbusters in Cinemas with our audiences, everywhere. #Sooryavanshi #ThisIs83

Yesterday Reliance CEO Shibasish Sarkar also released a statement on the release plan of Sooryavanshi and 83. He said,

Just to reiterate we are 100% inclined to release Sooryavanshi & 83 in theatres. However we do not want to push the release dates any further. If uncertainty continues on the opening of cinemas or the pandemic situation worsening , we will explore all options between theatrical, digital both TVOD & SVOD routes , in consultation with our directors actors and partners. We will definitely not like to push the release dates further. I am however, absolutely optimistic that audience will see these films on the big screen on Diwali & Christmas !!

As Diwali falls on mid of November this year, we are pretty much sure that everything will be clear regarding the releases of Sooryavanshi and 83 by the midpoint or end of September. They need at least close to 2 months to plan their releases and also on promotion and marketing strategy. We only hope that cinema halls re-opens by then and the situation in India improves by then.
