It is now official that seven Bollywood movies will directly release on Disney+ Hotstar. The official announcement is made with much fanfare and no doubt it will revolutionize the cinema viewing in the future.
The films which are all set for digital release are Laxmmi Bomb, Bhuj - The Pride of India, Dil Bechara, The Big Bull, Sadak 2, Khuda Haafiz and Lootcase. Dil Bechara will be the first to premiere on Disney+ and will release on 24 July 2020.
All these mentioned films will be premiered between July to October of this year. It also means that these films will not release in cinema halls once theatres are opened in the country.
This is good news for all movie lovers who are dying to watch fresh and brand new Bollywood movies. On the other side, it is also sad news for the exhibition sector. However, this is the new normal post coronavirus pandemic and it is going to stay for sure.
