Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan had a good start at the box office on opening Friday (1st day). The film also got benefit from the Maha Shivratri holiday in various parts of India. It is now all about Saturday and Sunday to put up a good total for the opening weekend.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has collected 9.55 crore net approx on day one. The film business got boost by the partial holiday. Because of the good start, jump on Saturday may not be that big.
Critic's reports are mostly on the positive side. As for audience word of mouth it is a bit mixed. With such a start, a 35 crore net weekend is a must. That can easily happen with decent growth on both Saturday and Sunday. Anything less will be alarming for the film.
Now coming to Saturday. A usual growth of 30-50% may be missing here as Friday business is already boosted because of the Maha Shivratri holiday. Any jump on Saturday will be good. A flat or lower business will be a disappointment.
We will get to know about the initial trend by the end of Saturday itself. The real trend will be known by the end of 1st Monday.
