Night Update: Batwara 1947 has shown solid growth on Day 2 at the box office. In fact, the film has recorded a jump of more than 100%, aided by the Independence Day holiday. As a result, the film has managed to recover some of the lost ground after a poor Day 1.
Batwara 1947 collected around ₹13 crore net on Day 2.
The film has recorded around 38–40% occupancy in the night shows, while the overall Day 2 occupancy is estimated at around 33%. The two-day total of Batwara 1947 stands at around ₹18.5 crore net, which is still below par. However, the significant growth on Day 2 is certainly a positive sign for the film.
It remains to be seen whether Batwara 1947 can maintain this momentum and show further growth on Day 3 at the box office.

Afternoon Update: Batwara 1947 has shown solid growth in the Day 2 afternoon shows. The film is registering around 40-45% occupancy as per the latest reports, while the overall occupancy for the day so far is around 29-30%. The film has recovered well after a poor Day 1 at the box office. Based on the trend till 2 PM IST, Batwara 1947 is heading towards a ₹11-12 crore net collection on Day 2. This is a notable recovery, although the film ideally needed to be closer to the ₹15 crore net mark on Saturday. However, the strong growth on Day 2 has given the film some hope, and if Batwara 1947 maintains a positive trend on Sunday, it could achieve a decent first weekend box office collection.
Morning Update: Batwara 1947 has taken a much better start on Day 2, registering around 15-17% occupancy in the morning shows. However, considering it is the Independence Day holiday, the start should have been better. Ideally, an opening of around 25% occupancy would have been a good start. The morning trends suggest that Batwara 1947 could be targeting around ₹8-8.5 crore net for the day. Even that would be an underperformance, as the film should have comfortably crossed the ₹10 crore net mark on Day 2. Let's wait and see how the film performs from here.
