Night Update: Alpha witnessed solid growth in occupancy during the evening and night shows, helping improve its Day 1 box office performance. The film registered 28-30% occupancy in the night shows, taking its overall Day 1 occupancy to around 16-17%. Until the afternoon, it appeared headed for a below-par opening, but the strong evening trend provided a much-needed boost. As per early estimates, Alpha is expected to collect around ₹8.5 crore net on Day 1 at the Indian box office. A few late-night shows are still left, so the final Day 1 box office collection may vary slightly. While the opening is decent, the film ideally needed to cross the double-digit mark on its first day. However, all is not lost, as Alpha can still recover over the weekend if it registers strong growth on Day 2 (Saturday).

Noon-Afternoon Update: Alpha has shown limited growth in the Day 1 noon-afternoon shows. The film has reported 10-12% occupancy in the noon-afternoon shows, and the overall occupancy for the day so far is around 9-10%. The film needs a big pickup from the evening onwards to post a solid Day 1. As per the latest trend, Alpha Day 1 Box Office Collection is targeting around ₹7-8 crore net, which is a strictly average to decent opening. Ideally, the film needs to stay close to the double-digit mark. Let's see how things unfold during the evening and night shows.
Morning Update: Alpha has taken a slow start on Day 1 (1st Friday), registering around 7-9% occupancy in the morning shows. Despite the slow opening, the film has the potential to witness solid growth in occupancy as the day progresses. Based on the initial morning trend, Alpha is currently targeting approximately ₹7-9 crore net on its opening day. While this would be a decent start, the film ideally needs to cross the ₹10 crore mark to post a strong opening at the box office. However, this is only an early projection based on morning samples, and the final Day 1 collection will largely depend on occupancy during the noon, afternoon, evening, and night shows.
