Chand Mera Dil failed to show the much-needed jump on Saturday as the film witnessed only limited growth on its second day at the box office. After a below-par opening on Friday, the film needed a strong Saturday push to revive hopes, but the numbers suggest otherwise.

Chand Mera Dil collected approximately ₹3.75 crore net on Day 2 (Saturday). With this, the film’s two-day total stands at around ₹6.75 crore net, which is below expectations and indicates an underwhelming start.

The film reportedly registered a poor 18-19% occupancy on its second day. Ideally, Saturday should have witnessed a significant jump in footfalls after an average opening day. However, the absence of strong growth suggests limited audience traction.

As Chand Mera Dil failed to register substantial growth on Saturday, Sunday business now becomes extremely important. At present, a flat trend cannot be ruled out, although a nominal increase on Sunday is still possible.

Based on the current trend, the film’s opening weekend total is now heading towards the ₹10.5-11 crore net range, which would be disappointing considering expectations.

Ideally, Chand Mera Dil needed a ₹15 crore net first weekend to remain in a safer position at the box office. Even that figure may not have guaranteed long-term success, but it would have given the film some breathing space going forward.

However, the current trend suggests the film may fall short of that benchmark by a considerable margin, making the weekday performance extremely crucial for its theatrical run.
