Night Update (11:30 PM IST):Dhurandhar has shown solid growth in occupancy, especially from the noon shows onwards. The best occupancy is observed in evening and night shows today, with those shows registering a strong 60-65% occupancy. Overall occupancy for the day stands at around 35-40%. The film is expected to collect around ₹23-25 crore net on Day 1, based on the latest trends. This is a solid start to its box office campaign. However, one concern is the significant block booking observed, which has boosted collections considerably — something that could have been avoided. Nevertheless, the start is strong, and we hope the film continues to show solid growth on Day 2.
Afternoon Update (2 PM IST): Dhurandhar has registered 28-30% occupancy in the noon–afternoon shows today. The film has shown growth in occupancy compared to the morning. However, the real concern is the significant amount of block bookings noticed during these shows, which was largely missing in the morning.
Initial sample checks (noon-afternoon shows) indicate that the actual occupancy in certain shows was nearly half the number of tickets sold. This raises questions on the transparency of real footfalls. Such block bookings need to be limited; otherwise, tracking genuine box office performance becomes meaningless.

Ideally, a ₹25 crore net opening would have been on par with expectations, but touching ₹20 crore would still set the stage for a strong weekend.
