Night Update (8 PM IST): Malik has collected ₹4.75-5 crore net approx (+/-) on Day 2 as per early estimates. With a few shows still left, the final figure may touch ₹5 crore net for the day. Collections are again just okay, and ideally, the film needed to be in the ₹6-7 crore net range. The two-day total now stands at around ₹8.25 crore net (+/-). Ideally, the film should have done at least ₹10 crore net in its first two days. Let's see if it can show further growth on Sunday.
Morning Update (11 AM IST): Maalik has registered 5-10% occupancy in the morning shows of Day 2. The film is showing growth compared to Day 1 morning, but it remains in a limited range. It needed a bigger push today as the Day 1 box office performance was underwhelming. Based on the morning trend, the film is expected to do a business of around ₹4-4.5 crore net approx.
