Sitaare Zameen Par collected ₹57.3 cr net approx in its first weekend, which is outstanding considering the slow start on Friday. Additionally, the film has collected ₹18.2 cr gross from the overseas markets so far. Overseas weekend numbers are still being updated, and the total is expected to go higher.

The film performed exceptionally well over the weekend, and now all eyes are on the weekdays. It is likely to emerge as a HIT, and Monday's performance will be crucial in confirming that. Aamir Khan has made a strong comeback after a long lean phase.

Night Update (7:30 PM IST): Sitaare Zameen Par has gone BONKERS on Sunday! 🔥 The film is registering excellent occupancy throughout the day, with no signs of the usual Sunday drop. It has recorded a 65% occupancy in the evening and night shows, which is truly fantastic. Overall occupancy for the day stands at around 53-55%. 

As per the trend till 7:30 PM, Day 3 collection is heading towards ₹27-28 cr net. With a few more shows still to go, the final count may vary slightly. The first weekend total is now racing towards a FANTASTIC ₹58 cr net! Even a decent hold on Monday will be enough to ensure box office success.

Noon Update (2 PM IST): Sitaare Zameen Par has shown further strong growth on Sunday. The film has registered a fantastic 60-65% occupancy in the noon shows, with the overall occupancy for the day so far hovering around 48-50%.

The film is simply UNSTOPPABLE at the box office and is all set to cruise past the ₹20 cr net mark for the day. In fact, the trend till noon suggests that the film is eyeing a ₹25-26 cr net total for Sunday. Of course, a lot will depend on how it performs in the evening and night shows. Morning Update (10:45 AM IST): Sitaare Zameen Par has taken a superb start on Sunday morning. The film has registered an opening of 30-40%, which is much better than both Friday and Saturday. The start suggests that the film will comfortably cross the ₹20 crore net mark and may even touch or surpass ₹25 crore net, depending on how it performs throughout the day. The film’s first weekend total is now all set to go past ₹50 crore net. Fabulous stuff!
