Sharp. Edgy. Engaging... Solid second half, powerhouse performances [#AjayDevgn, #RiteishDeshmukh], thunderous dialogue are major highlights... First half works in parts... Overall, lives up to expectations. #Raid2Review

2. Hindustan Times -
Rating Score -> 3/5
Overall, the film's strengths lie in the face-off between Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, and in Riteish's fiery antagonist. On the other hand, his downfall feels too effortless, and the second half drags.

3. India Today -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
'Raid 2' needed more time to develop - more marination, and a subtle nudge while being cooked. Instead, it arrives half-cooked, lacking flavours and leaving us not asking for more.

4. Indian Express -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Ajay Devgn film is so much dullness, so little fun. It is wrapped in such a strong whiff of sameness that the first half comes off entirely superfluous. After a string of eye-glaze scenes in which Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh go at each other, you are left clutching at straws.

5. First Post -
Rating Score -> 3.5/5
On the whole, Raid 2 promises to be a winner due to its gripping story and impeccable performances.

6. Times Now -
Rating Score -> 3.5/5
The first half may be a bit shaky, but the second half picks up beautifully, making it a worthwhile watch. Tamannaah brings fire with her dance moves, though we could’ve done without Honey Singh and Jacqueliene Fernandez’s Money Money track towards the end. Overall, a fine job was done.

7. Rediff -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
One felt unexplainable glee as worlds of wrongfully accumulated wealth came crashing down amidst righteous schadenfreude. But Gupta's hammy treatment and bombastic score strips the realism to turn Raid 2 into another hail the hero exercise.

8. Times of India -
Rating Score -> 3/5
At 2 hours, 20 minutes, the film feels heavy too. The first half is unhurried, it’s the second half that gets the wit, energy and thrill in place. Songs interrupt the story.

9. Mid-day -
Rating Score -> n/a
Raid 2 has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the first part. Unfortunately, he couldn’t stop the two films from being compared because the predecessor was indeed a class apart from what we’re seeing in 2025. One of his best works, No One Killed Jessica, is where he set the bar for himself. Raid 2, however, failed to maintain the same calibre with regards to its onscreen impact.

10. DNA -
Rating Score -> 4/5
Even though Raid 2 is 2 hours and 19 minutes, it does feel a little stretched. Despite the shortcomings, Raid 2 does take the franchise to new heights, and it's a film that should be watched in cinemas only. The franchise has ample growth, and you'll get a hint about it towards the end, leaving you waiting for the next instalment.

Raid 2 is a worthy successor to Raid and will keep everyone satisfied as it is a good entertainer.

12. NDTV -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Raid was a humdinger. Raid 2 has hum and no zing. It is, at best, average entertainment, if not a few notches below that mark.

13. India TV -
Rating Score -> 3/5
Overall, Raid 2 is not better than the first part. There are many flaws in the story of the film, but the work of Ajay and Riteish is excellent, and this is what makes Raid 2 worth watching. The film can definitely be watched once; it is an entertaining film.

14. News 18 -
Rating Score -> 3/5
When Raid was released in 2018, it was widely appreciated. The battle between Ajay Devgn’s Indian Revenue Service officer Amay Patnaik and Saurabh Shukla’s Tauji kept audiences hooked to their seats. Unfortunately, the sequel, Raid 2, fails to match the expectations set by the first film.
