Rating Score -> 3/5
Satyprem Ki Katha is driven by its need to preach and give a message. The subject does move you and leaves you with much to think about, however, it tends to take the more emotional route than an entertaining one.

2. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Somewhere under the overwrought and overcooked plot of Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani-starrer is a real film about two people dealing with troubled pasts, but it gets buried under everything else that the movie throws at us.

3. DNA -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
The film takes issues like consent in a relationship and does justice to how it presents them, without over-dramatising. Perhaps, the best aspect of the movie is how quickly it ends, without a long-drawn climax or any melodrama. The ‘keep it simple, silly’ mantra works here.

4. Times Now -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Overall, Satyaprem Ki Katha is an average love story with powerful performances from its lead pair, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. If you are a fan of Kartik and Kiara, this will be a treat for you. Otherwise, the film doesn’t have anything new to offer.

#SatyapremKiKatha: WONDERFUL. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Well-packaged entertainer with an excellent twist +  captivating second half… #KartikAaryan fantastic, #KiaraAdvani top notch… #SameerVidwans’ direction deserves brownie points… MUST WATCH! #SatyapremKiKathaReview #SatyaPremKiKatha is a progressive film and the message / culmination is what you carry home… Minor hiccup: Excessive songs in the first hour, in fact the film would’ve been more impactful if it was shorter by 15 odd minutes.

6. Zee News -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Kartik Aaryan And Kiara Advani's Love Story Leaves Audience With Some Food For Thought. Kartik Aaryan does a good job in this family entertainer along with solid performance by Kiara Advani.

As Satyaprem Ki Katha ticks most of the boxes in the checklist, it could very well be the much-needed love story that Bollywood needed at this point. Watch it with your family and partners for there's a message for everyone and no, it won't bore you even for a bit.

8. India TV -

Rating Score -> 3/5
You can't miss watching Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani love story. Sameer Vidwans directorial has an impressive plot along with Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani's lovely on-screen chemistry.

9. NDTV -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Satyaprem Ki Katha educates while it entertains, but many of the creative choices that the script by Karan Shrikant Sharma makes and the directorial sleights that Vidwans resorts to lead to avoidably mawkish convolutions that the film is unable to snap out of, especially in the second half.

10. India Today -

Rating Score -> 2/5
If you are a Kartik Aaryan or Kiara Advani fan, you would most probably overlook the flaws and like the film. However, if you have brought your brain along in the theatre, you won’t be able to overlook the toxicity that’s left as it is, or the jarring inconsistencies.

11. Addatoday -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
"Satyaprem Ki Katha" can be described as an average romantic tale that benefits from the strong performances of the lead actors. The film's primary focus is on conveying a moral message, driving its narrative. The subject matter manages to evoke emotions and provokes contemplation in a few scenes only. The film tries to take us on an emotional rollercoaster ride rather than providing pure entertainment.

12. Komal Nahta -

Rating Score -> n/a
Satyaprem Ki Katha is a fine entertainer for all age groups and all classes of audience. Ladies, in particular, will love the film.

13. Mid-day -

Rating Score -> 3/5
SatyaPrem Ki Katha makes an interesting watch for its wonderful performances and its central message. It will tug at your heartstrings more than it will bring a smile to your face.

14. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a
Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani shoulder an unusual romantic drama that takes time to find its voice. Director Sameer Vidwans addresses date rape and the idea of consent but uses a bleeding pen to make his point in this uneven tale

15. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Kiara's pain pierces through the screen and makes a heartfelt picture of how she feels even when the script cannot see her, beyond the man who broke her trust or the man who'll mend it.

16. The Week -

Rating Score -> 3/5
This Kartik Aaryan-starrer oversimplifies a serious issue. From rom-com to serious drama, Satyaprem Ki Katha oscillates between multiple themes
