This Salman Khan starrer once again plays to the gallery for his die-hard fans. It is a larger-than-life actioner with brutal violence and tons of drama. The problem is that it entertains only briefly.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is a film for Salman Khan fans. It is a no-brainer, full maar-dhaar, naach-gaana, dance-shance wala entertainer. If you look very, very closely, there's a story. And when you find it, it is like finding the almighty him/herself. But, like most things Bhaijaan does, KKBKKJ dil mein aata hai, samajh mein nahi.

Salman Khan starrer is a family entertainer; perfect Eidi for fans. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has all the ingredients of an entertainer-- action, drama, romance, and comedy which is the pattern of Salman Khan films. Especially Salman Khan's entry and Venkatesh's fight, and Ram Charan's cameo make it worth watching.

Its disjointed script is its weakest point while Salman Khan’s presence and the oncoming Eid festival (when box-office collections will show a huge rise) are the biggest plus points. But in the final tally, it will prove to be a dull fare.

Unsurprisingly, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan doesn’t need you to put your grey matter to use and the makers are unapologetic about that. It is simplistic and run-of-the-mill and lacks novelty and even a purpose. It is sheer fluff and an out-and-out popcorn entertainment. Keep your judgements and rationale aside and it might not disappoint you.

While not as ghastly as Antim or Radhe, depending how low your benchmark is, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan is one heck of a banal and boring affair, spending its 144 clueless minutes on awkward romance, dreary melodrama, dowdy faceoffs and a forcibly squeezed in song for the lamest of reasons.

There's a line in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan that Salman's character says more than once: “Jab dil, dimaag aur body bole 'Bhai bas bhi karo', I say, 'Bring it on". I wish, I could say the same, alas, that's not happening! And brace yourself, for there's a sequel coming for sure, sit back after end credits for that blink and miss hint. Till then, watch KKBKKJ and decide if it was your perfect Eid Mubarak gift.
