Overall Word of Mouth (Critics) - Positive

1. DNA -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Ajay Devgn-Tabu film is a perfect Kaithi remake. Bholaa is all about Ajay Devgn, a one man army against thousands of villains. The film doesn't even pretend to be anything other than a true remake of Kaithi.

2. The Week -

Rating Score -> n/a
The film is a watchable entertainer for the action-craving audiences giving them larger-than-life two-and-a-half hours of their lives, which is understandably the current cinematic pull for the filmmakers to get audiences into theatres.

3. Times Now -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Ajay Devgn, Tabu Excel In Action Extravaganza Despite Weak Script. Bholaa is an excellent action-entertainer, which is marred by a lax plot. There can be no complaints when it comes to Ajay Devgn’s acting in Bholaa. The actor-director owns the character – effortlessly slipping into an action avatar. The film plays out like a bildungsroman and is accentuated by some excellent fight sequences.

4. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Ajay Devgn delivers no-holds-barred, high-octane actioner. Ajay Devgn-Tabu's all-out action film is not for the faint-hearted but it is bang for your buck.

5. NDTV -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Slapdash Rehash That Rides Solely On Ajay Devgn's Star Power. Tabu, of course, makes the most of the footage that she gets but still has to settle for second-fiddle treatment.

6. India TV -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Bholaa is crafted for the masses and perfectly blends high-octane action, thriller and soul in the first half and ends with a surprising climax where a 'Bollywood actor' cameo is waiting. An exciting watch for the weekend!

7. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
You are left with many questions about the protagonist’s life, which an origin story is likely to help unfold - à la Baahubali. Stay back post the climax to know who will be Bholaa’s arch-enemy ahead. As for this one, Bholaa, which has immense mass appeal, packs in quite a punch with his strength, grit and charisma.

8. India Today -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Ajay Devgn shines bright in gripping remake of Kaithi. Bholaa is a well-packaged actioner that caters to the mass audience. The film features a good mix of elevation sequences and emotional scenes.

9. Taran Adarsh -

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
#Bholaa: MASS-APPEALING! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ #Bholaa is loaded with brilliant action sequences and terrific performances by #AjayDevgn and #Tabu… #RaviBasrur’s background score is icing on the cake. Blemishes: Screenplay could’ve been more impactful and the run time could’ve been shorter for an enhanced impact. #BholaaReview

10. Komal Nahta -

Rating Score -> n/a
Bholaa is a well-made film with its heart in the right place. But if it still does not do hit business and stops at the above-average level, it will be because it has limitations as far as its appeal is concerned. Womenfolk, children and family audience will not like the film as much as the masses and the menfolk.

11. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Unnecessary exposition revealing more loopholes than information, bombshells lacking a wow factor and an exhausting monotony of over-the-top onslaught after onslaught launching Bholaa in Rambo mode turns the third act into a full blown mess. Until the going is good though, Bholaa is quite a trip.

12. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a
Ajay Devgn’s messy, massy remake of ‘Kaithi’. Trishul in hand, his forehead smeared in sacred ash, Ajay Devgn looks menacing in ‘Bholaa,’ but otherwise struggles to convey the mythic qualities of his character

13. Hindustan Times -

Rating Score -> n/a
Bholaa can sure be touted to be that typical mass entertainer with action that is totally paisa vasool, but again, we need to see something beyond just the heroic deeds.

  1. As expected a negative review which seems more like a rant from RNDTV.. The hinduphobic leftist channel couldn't withstand the celebration of Lord Shiva in the movie and vomited out a biased anguish of desperation in the form of a review..
