Avatar 2 has crossed the $ 1 Billion mark globally and is moving strongly at the box office now. The film is also reporting better trending in the second weekdays in the Domestic (Northern America) market.
Avatar: The Way Of Water has collected a whopping $ 1030.1 million till the last report filled in. The film added a decent $ 317.4 million from U.S.A and Canada itself. The Rest of the World added a staggering $ 712.7 million.
Film business on the 2nd Monday, 2nd Tuesday, and 2nd Wednesday is better than the first weekdays in Northern America. This shows the film is trending better and it should continue to do so till the New Year Holiday period at least. It means at least $ 500 million in business from there is almost a certainty. It could easily go beyond that.
The film is doing second-best business in China despite the Covid outbreak there. The film has already crossed the $ 100 million mark. It is doing record-smashing business in France, South Korea, and India so far and still going strong in these countries.
Avatar 2 is certain to touch the $ 1.5 Billion mark in the coming days. In fact, the current speed suggests the film is moving to that target at a rapid pace. The question is whether film can challenge the coveted $ 2 Billion mark? It is a bit early to say that and the coming days will clear the picture.
