Avatar: The Way Of Water is an unstoppable juggernaut at the Worldwide box office at this moment. Although the film is doing excellent internationally it was somewhat lagging behind in the Northern American market. But the film has slowly but surely found its momentum and is racing forward at a good pace now.
Avatar 2 collected $ 358.1 million from USA and Canada till the end of Day 29, 2022. The film added $ 197.7 million in the first week and $ 160.4 million in the second week. It means a marginal weekly drop of just 18-20% is seen. This is an outstanding hold and the new year holiday period has just started.
The film is now on track to touch and go beyond the $ 500 million mark there. If the film maintains its momentum then it will easily touch $ 600-700 million approx or more in Northern America. That will be an excellent score considering it is released in post-pandemic times.
Avatar 2 is on a record-smashing spree in the International market so far. The film is doing record-breaking business in France, South Korea and India. It is doing very good business at the China box office. The film has accumulated $ 810.6 million from the International market and should easily go beyond the $ 1 Billion mark in the coming times. The worldwide total currently stands at a whopping $ 1.169 billion.
As far as the lifetime business of Avatar 2 is concerned. It will easily touch and go beyond $ 1.5 billion globally. The question is whether it can touch $ 2 billion or not? At this moment film is trending anywhere between the $ 1.8-$2 billion mark. In the coming days, the picture will be further clear regarding the lifetime collection for the first phase of release.
