Avatar: The Way Of Water has taken a strong start on 1st Monday (4th Day) morning shows. However, the drop is significant from 1st Friday which is somewhat on the expected lines as the film opened huge on day one.
Avatar 2 opened to 20-22% occupancy in the morning shows today. For the same samples, Friday opening was around 35-40%. It means an occupancy drop of 40-45% is seen when only morning shows are taken into the consideration. The business drop will be more as ticket prices are less today.
Avatar 2 has collected 129 crore nett approx in the opening weekend in India. The film has put up a staggering $ 435 million globally. The film will see a drop on Monday but again drop might be in the acceptable range as family audiences may come out in numbers from the evening onwards. There is still the Christmas and New Year period to come and hence, there is a possibility that a certain section of the audience is waiting for that period to watch the film.
