Uunchai scored pretty well on Day 1 (Friday) at the box office despite releasing in limited screens of 475 approx India. The film registered decent occupancy on Friday and there is a possibility of good growth on Saturday now. As the film will report higher occupancy, showings and screenings will get increased.
Uunchai collected 1.75 crore nett approx on Friday. The film reported 25-30% occupancy on day 1 which is pretty decent. Reports of the film are mixed to positive so far. Initial audience reports are also positive which is a good sign.
Uunchai has opened well one can say and a decent growth from here on through Saturday and Sunday will take the film to a respectable weekend total. Looks like the brand of Sooraj R. Barjatya has helped the film to get decent initials. From Saturday it is all about the word of mouth now.
