Drishyam 2 has shown excellent hold on the 2nd Friday (8th day) at the box office. The film is hardly showing any significant drop from 1st Thursday despite screens being reduced and the film facing Bhediya. In fact, the film might again see capacity issues on the 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday now.

When samples of day 8 are compared to day 7 a nominal drop of just around 15% is seen. This is outstanding as any drop of less than 40% on the 2nd Friday is touted as good. Here it is much less.

Excellent hold on 2nd Friday also ensures that the film has now a good chance of chasing 200 crore nett in India and also has a good chance of emerging as a Blockbuster.
