Drishyam 2 has taken a huge start on the 2nd Sunday (10th day) at the box office. This kind of start film dreams on the 1st Sunday and here the film is delivering on the 2nd Sunday. There is no doubt that the film will challenge some insane numbers for day 10 and an excellent second weekend is on cards now.
Drishyam 2 has opened to 48-50% occupancy in the morning shows today. For the same, 2nd Saturday opening was around 32-33%. A big 50% growth is seen when only morning shows are taken into the consideration.
Drishyam 2 has collected a huge 126.5 crore nett approx in the first nine days. A big jump on Sunday will take the film to the 17-18 crore nett range. If the film shows an extraordinary jump on the 2nd Sunday then numbers could even challenge the 20 crore nett mark. If that happens it will be simply unbelievable as such numbers are a dream for many on 1st Sunday.
The outstanding trend of far in the second weekend has almost ensured two things for Drishyam 2. First, the film will now emerge as a Blockbuster and second, the film has every chance of touching and going past the elusive 200 crore nett mark.
