Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 has zoomed past the 100 crore nett mark in India in four days flat. The film is all set to emerge as an Industry Hit now which is an absolute rarity in today's time. The film holds outstandingly in Tamil Nadu on Monday and is all set for a long run there.
The film is competing with all the biggies and has a good chance of going past everyone if it is able to maintain the pace in the coming days. The superb hold on Monday gives the film a very good chance for the rest of the theatrical run.
PS1 is doing well in the Hindi version also as the film collected 1.4 crore nett approx on Monday (day 4). The drop from Friday is just around 25-30% which is fantastic. The film collected 9.1 crore nett approx in the Hindi version in the first four days. The film has a good chance of emerging as a HIT in the Hindi version also and should achieve this feat by end of the second week or by the third weekend if it continues the solid trend.
