Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 is creating ripples in India as the film is doing fantastic business. Even overseas reports are good and thus, the film has already grossed more than 100 crores worldwide in the first two days itself.
PS1 collected 4.5 crore nett approx from the Hindi version in the first two days. The film collected an excellent 35 crore NBOC in Tamil Nadu in the first two days. The great news is that film held extremely well there on Saturday.
In addition, PS1 added another 21 crore nett approx from other languages in the rest of south India. It means film two day total currently stands at 60.5 crore nett approx. There is Sunday still to come and the film should now easily go past the 80 crore nett mark. A 90 crore nett is still a possibility and for that film needs to score well on Sunday. PS1 is on its way to emerge as an Industry HIT which is a rarity in today's time.
