Dhaakad is the new release this week and the film has taken a slow start at the box office on Friday (first day) morning shows. Starts is very slow and will need good pick up as the day progresses to have a decent total for day 1.
Dhaakad has opened to 5-10% occupancy in the morning shows of the 1st day. In a few places, the opening is even lower than that. This is not good news to start the day. Ideally, the film needed an opening of 20-25% and actuals are much less than that.
Dhaakad will depend on word-of-mouth opening now. The film screening is also less in comparison to the other release in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. It is the public report which is very important for Dhaakad. We hope that public feedback is on the positive side. As for critics' reviews, it doesn't matter whether they give 1* or 5* to the film.
Dhaakad is made on a significant budget. Hence, ideally, the film needs an opening of 6-8 crore nett at least. Start suggests the film is lagging behind and will need good growth in the latter part of the day to go anywhere close to that.
