Jersey has a shocking start to the box office campaign on the opening Friday (Day 1) as early trends for the day is coming in. Occupancy for the day is very poor and low and trade is in shock today.
Jersey occupancy report for the day is given below. Evening and night shows saw some kind of growth but again occupancy is still at a very low level. If the film doesn't perform well in the rest of the night shows and interiors then a poor first day is on cards now.
The early trend suggests Jersey's first day collection is heading towards a paltry 3.5-4 (+/-) crore nett approx. These are early estimates and the final count for the day may vary. Ideally, the film needed a 7-8 crore nett opening or even more than that. But it looks like film's first day business will stay much below that mark. Jersey will need miraculous growth from here on to have a chance to survive at the box office.
