Heropanti 2 has taken a decent start at the box office on Friday (1st day) morning shows as early samples are coming in. The film took a decent start mainly because a lot of bulk booking is done in advance. Now whether it is done by corporate or the makers? That is a different question. Things to look at are that bulk booking will help the opening but it will not happen from the second day of running.
Heropanti 2 has opened to 20-22% occupancy in the morning shows today. That is a decent start considering the film is released on 2300-2400 screens. There is no doubt that Heropanti 2 has taken a big lead from Runway 34 if we just consider the morning shows.
Heropanti 2 is an action film that should do well in the mass-dominated centers. Hence, ideally, film needs a double-digit opening for the day. However, it has to fight it out with Runway 34 and KGF 2. We will have a clear picture by the end of the day.
A film like Heropanti 2 doesn't need critic's support. It is all about audience feedback. If audiences lap up the film then it will be unstoppable at least for the extended opening weekend. Tiger Shroff is highly popular among single screen audiences and hope that SS helps the film to have a decent first day total.
