Click this link for detailsFleischer, director of the Zombieland, Gangster Squad and the first Venom movie brings his own mood to the franchise without losing out on its essence. Mind you, this is popcorn entertainment at its best so don’t expect gravitas or reason. Just watch people trick each other in a mad heist through a series of amazing stunt scenes. Bring on the sequel we say!

If it is, there is certainly no place for Uncharted. If only they had a map or secret diary or hidden passageway that led to a better movie.

For those who feel eager to walk out of the theatres after watching the climax, the post-credit scenes could rather provide an adrenaline rush with major revelations for the next movie.

Click this link for detailsThe treasure hunting narrative is ruled by green screen special effects but the sense of fun is sorely missing. The world-building and character specifics are rather thin and the narrative, though slick and fast-paced, doesn’t really capture your imagination as it should have. There’s nothing new in terms of action or treatment here. A rather vapid series of set-pieces embellished with a high-velocity airplane stunt involving airborne 16th-century sailing ships and a Parkour-like chase sequence fails to make this game-to-cinema event memorable enough!

While all this is true of Uncharted, based on the stupendously-popular game, on the plus side is a delightful performance by Tom Holland as Nate Drake, glittering locations including Alicante, Valencia, Xàbia and Barcelona, secret messages written in invisible ink and postcards.
