Big Hollywood release Spider-Man: No Way Home is all set to release in India on 16 December 2021 that is on Thursday. The good news is that film is all set to take a historic start at the box office as advance booking reports are coming in.
Spiderman is recording insane advances all across India wherever advances have started. Yes, a few places advances are lagging behind but that also is not bad. Still, 3 days are left, and just imagine what will be the advance booking by the end of Wednesday. Don't be surprised if the film gets an earth-shattering start on Thursday (1st day).
Because of excellent advances so far film shows are starting as early as 6 am in the morning and the last show is happening as late as 11-11:30 pm in the night. That means the last shows will end at around 2am. Means 20 hours of screening in India. Insane again.
Now coming to advances. Wherever advance booking has started around 30% of tickets are already sold out for day one. This is including all viewing formats (3D and 2D and others) and also includes all languages. This is crazy stuff. Just imagine what will be the advances by the end of Wednesday. Three days are still left. We simply can't keep our excitement low at this moment.
When a big film releases, be it from Bollywood or Hollywood or Pan India or Regional, we see good advances at certain places only. For Spider-Man it is the whole of India. Be it North or South or East or West. Be it metros or interiors. The last time this happened was at the time of Avengers and Baahubali. Yes, the craze is real, and expect unreal numbers for day one. Hope that film gets sufficient screening for week one.
