Delhi Govt has urged cinema halls to close their screening with immediate effect because there is a rise in the positivity of omicron virus across the National Captial. Due to his announcement Multiplex Association of India has released an official statement.
The key points of the statement are that MAI wants Delhi Govt to reconsider the decision of shutting down cinema halls. It will have irreparable damage to the Indian Film Industry. They are using all safety protocols advised by the Govt of India.
MAI is also okay with the introduction of 50% occupancy capping. They are also okay with the requirement of a double vaccinated certificate to enter the cinema halls.
