Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui has shown a decent jump on Sunday (3rd day) at the box office. Decent growth would have been nice if the film had registered a big jump on Saturday (2nd day). But film showed only decent growth on Saturday and hence, in an ideal case scenario it needed more than a decent jump.
CKA has added 5.9 crore net approx on day 3. Jump from day 2 is around 20% which is decent. The film jumped around 30% on day 2. Thus, the film opening weekend collection stands at 14.5 crore net approx.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui's first weekend total is below par. Ideally, the film needed 17-18 crore net for the weekend if not more. It means the film is 3-4 crores less from the par score.
All is not lost for the film if it shows superb trending on weekdays. But going by the weekend trend, there may be a significant drop coming this Monday. The picture will be pretty much clear by the end of 1st Monday (day 4).
