83 had an average first week at the box office. Box Office numbers are decent and trending is good. But the real problem is the film budget.
Considering the film cost 83 should have done much better business in the opening week. It is because this film now has to recover a lot of ground and that is looking very difficult at this moment. Still, the film has retained a good number of screens for week two, and let's see how things proceed in the coming days.
83 has collected 5.2 crore net approx on Thursday that is on Day 7. Film total collection at the end of the first week is 71.85 crore net approx. The film should touch or go past 100 crore net business in India if it shows a solid hold on the 2nd Friday. But that is simply not enough. It needed much more than that and for that to happen, the film needs a miraculous trending from here on.
Collection Breakup -
Friday - 12.65 crore net
Saturday - 16.95 crore net
Sunday - 17.4 crore net
Monday - 7.3 crore net
Tuesday - 6.7 crore net
Wednesday - 5.65 crore net
Thursday - 5.2 crore net approx
Total (All Languages) - 71.85 crore net

The problem with 83 was the trailer. After watching the trailer, there was no need to watch the movie, because the trailer showed so much, it was like watching the movie.
ReplyDeleteIt’s just a matter of few days before cinemas are closed again. Already the COVID cases are rising & have crossed 15K daily cases yesterday. The movie has earned whatever it could.
ReplyDeleteThe ticket price ate very high, still it could not get any footfalls🤣
