Eternals has done very good business in India in the first weekend. This is despite facing various offsets. It is the post-pandemic period. In addition, there is 50% occupancy capping in various parts of India. Plus there are two big releases in Sooryavanshi and Annaatthe. In fact, the film struggled to get shows in single screens across India. Considering all these businesses of the film is excellent.
Eternals has collected 5.75 crore net on Saturday (day 2) and 6.05 crore net on Sunday (day 3). Thus, the film opening weekend total stands at a 19.15 crore net mark. The film should collect in excess of 25 crore net in the first week. It may even go close to the 30 crore net mark.
As for the lifetime business in India. It is tough to predict at this moment. We will have some idea by end of 1st Monday. The real picture will be out by end of 2nd Friday. A 40 crore net business in India is on. 50 crore net business looks tough at this moment and for that to be achieved, the film needs a very strong trending in the weekdays.
